How to use the SparkFun RTK Facet with Polaris without SW Maps.

This is how to setup the embedded NTRIP client in a SparkFun RTK Facet for use with Polaris RTK service. This is useful when you want to use an application that does not have a native NTRIP Client built in.

  1. Use the Power/Setup button to scroll to the Config menu.
  2. Entering the Config menu should have started a hotspot called Facet or Sparkfun @ IP address 192.168.4.1.
  3. Connect to the SparkFun Facet via that hotspot using a Computer or Phone.
  4. Enter your WiFi configuration, it is recommended to use a hotspot. You can enter up to four networks to use as backups.
  5. Open the GNSS configuration menu and configure the NTRIP client to connect to Polaris.
  6. Once this is all correctly entered hit "Save Configuration" and wait for the "Success: All Saved!" message.
  7. On the SparkFun Facet use the Power/Setup button to go back to the "Rover" mode of the Facet.

  8. The little down arrow indicates the SparkFun RTK Facet is on your hotspot and that it is receiving corrections. You can always verify this on the Point One Web App in the devices tab under the Last Connected column.
